In Kaziranga National Park, sight the great Indian one- horned rhino in their natural surroundings, situated on the banks of the Brahmaputra River in the eastern state of Assam.
Due to the efforts taken up by the government the population of this highly endangered specie has tremendously gone up to 900, roaming nonchalantly in the great wild.
Other wildlife attractions are Nandankan in Orissa - famous for white Tigers, also worth a visit is Manas, know as a great Indian Tiger Reserve, whose swampy meadows are also the home of the rhino, water buffalo and elephant. |
